Atopic dermatitis in a pre teen

My Pre teen son has been suffering for the last 3 months with atopic dermatitis….solely on his face.

He suffers from various food allergies but we have introduced nothing new to his diet.

Managed to get a dermatology consultant ( he was in a bad way), and he has him on a treatment plan…one week done, and it has improved a lot, but I still see elements of the dermatitis creeping back in patches. Moved onto the 2nd recommended cream yesterday….so maybe I need to give all this a chance.

Odd thing is…the dermatitis is solely confined to his face. Stops at the hairline and chin and is no where else on his body. He uses no creams, barely get him to wash his face…even consultant was a bit flummoxed.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what the outcome was? Not sure what I have left to eliminate from his diet or surroundings…

    Any insights v welcome

    Jenny
