Went into the Centra today around the corner from work to get some lunch.

Got a roll, a Coke and a twirl.. 9.90 euros! What the hell lads.. 6 euro for a roll..

i have a fresh near me and the deli prices are outrageous, i used to get a lunch a few times a week and a breakfast roll at the weekend.

But i am not shopping in a local store that has better prices and better customer service. Its not as fancy. its a little basic if im honest, but the food is freshly made and served with a smile. roll, crisps and a can for 6 euro.

I remember paying 2 euro for a 500ml bottle of coke near the gate cinema in Cork circa 2012 and think we were fucked then

A colleague questioned the price hike and was told "we were told to put the prices up". Its a pity as its the best deli around by a mile but can't justify 6 quid for a roll!
