Lodging older Sterling notes

Hi Team, I have 100 pound sterling that I want to exchange and lodge to my BoI account. However, I was told that the 50 pound notes that I have, are no longer accepted in shops in the UK and can only be exchanged in a bank. Can these be exchanged and lodged in a BoI physical bank?

You should be able to lodge the notes to your account at the counter in your local full service branch.
