Any help in the following matter would be greatly appreciated: If X is a solicitor acting as executor for a deceased persons estate, what is his position with regards to selling livestock (in particular cattle) BEFORE Grant of Probate has been obtained? What title does he require for sale? The issue is that there are insufficient funds to properly feed the cattle, which is why he is looking to sell them before they either die or become seriously malnourished.
