9 Inch skirting board

Doing work on the house and have taken off the old skirting boards which were 9". They're not worth saving as theres about 90 years of paint on them. Also i wouldn't have enough. My options seem to be quite limited for 9". The only one i can find is Deanta Wells White Primed Skirting which I'm not particularly into. I could live with the skirting but the matching architrave i don't really like at all.

Anyone any orther suggestion of where i could go looking.

Stick up a few pics so we can see what we're talking about.

Ring around a few joinery shops, and see if you can find one who'll either run off new skirting to your own design, or match the original stuff that came from your house.

Are you changing the door frame architrave too? As this is usually kept matching the skirting board design.

I removed 9in skirting a few years ago, as was getting internal insulation. The carpenter replaced it with fascia board, plain, but it does what it needs to do. Any hardware store should advise.

Sorry, just seeing these reply’s now. That’s a great idea with the fascia board. Looks great. In the meantime I found seadec also do a couple of skirting boards in 210mm. Links below. Think I’ll go with the Victoria.

If you plan to paint it get a sheet of good quality MDF and cut it in 9'' strips - one sheet will give 40 feet of skirting. Finish off the top with a router with a design of your choice or to match existing.

Where did you purchase the seadec in the end?

Looking at the same myself, but seems expensive.
