Exercises You Should Be Doing

    For beginners..

You can do any exercises you like/enjoy, but these are my picks for biggest bang for buck. Take the time to learn how to execute these and progress them, and you'll soon pass the average person in your gym out in terms of strength and muscle. If you can't properly execute these yet, you need to start light and take the time to get a proper range of motion.

    Squats

    Bench Press

    Deadlifts

    Overhead press

    Chin Ups

    Rows

If you can't do chin-ups yet, I recommend using a band, an assisted chinup machine, and the lat pulldown.

On top of this, smaller exercises can also be useful, particularly as you get stronger for adding more muscle mass. These are your dumbbell work, machines, lunges, back raises, ab work etc.

Ultimately though, the original list will provide the biggest bang for your buck, no matter your level.
