Why is there no requirement for transparency in chipper chips bag sizes?

A “big” in one chipper could be a “small” in the other.

Why aren’t chippers obliged to state the quantity of each in grams?

Likewise in coffee shops? I probably buy one or two a year (if even). WTF is tall, grande and venti? Just say the damn size in millilitres for Christ sake.

You don’t need transparency. Just open the top and you can see right in.

Sizes differ, prices differ, so what? We know which are best value or taste better. Coffee and chips aren't a standardised product. Every location has their own unique element in some shape, size, or form.

I said the WEIGHT. Quickly throw them into a scales. A small should be at least 200 grams, a medium 300g and a large 400 g (or whatever).

Whatever about chippers not doing it, it’s absolutely criminal that coffee shops don’t state the volume of their coffees.

Chip shops are, for the most part independent businesses. They are not required to standardize their product or give you a weight. What next? How much does my xxl donner kebab weigh? Its not exactly an exact science.
