Trying to set up standing order - BOI says invalid IBAN

Hi there,

I'm trying to set up a standing order but am getting an error saying the IBAN is invalid for the account I wish to transfer to. The IBAN I am entering is correct and is in use for a payee I already have on my account.

Any idea why I am getting this error?

Standing Orders can only be set up for domestic bank accounts within ROI. Is it possible this is the reason it will not allow set up?

Thanks, yes it is a German account. I wasn't aware you couldn't set up a standing order to accounts outside ROI. Thanks for the reply.

This is only an issue with BOI, other banks are SEPA Compliant.
