I closed my BOI account in 6/2016 and now Dept of Social Services want a letter from BOI that the account was closed. Went to the local branch and the teller told me that she couldn't help me because they don't have my account info anymore Please advise

Hi there, thanks for getting in touch with us here today. Please be advised that the bank is only required to hold details of the account for a period of 7 years. If this timeframe has since passed we would be unable to provide any records of the account. Thanks Jen
