    Hi all

I got banned for no insurance 4 years ago I then applied for early restoration after 3 years which court has granted me and allowed me to drive back , my question is if I need to declare it to insurance company or this is considered as spent conviction and I don’t need to declare ?

    thanks everyone

AFIAK if it's one of these:

    • All convictions in the District Court for motoring offences except for convictions for dangerous driving
    • A single conviction for dangerous driving in the District Court or Circuit Court which resulted in a prison sentence of 12 months or less, or a fine

a conviction is considered spent 7 years after the date of conviction.

After that you can declare you have never had a conviction to any insurance companies
