Buy slurry from a farmer

    i am just wondering can you purchase slurry from a farmer. i don't have a slated shed. is there a regulation against that.

    It's probably not economic to do it after allowing for costs. If you can get digestate from.a bio plant it probably a better option.

    Pig slurry is an option as well. If it was tillage land chicken litter is an option

    I was going to suggest that you should log onto your Agfood account, scroll down on the left to Nitrogen & Phosphorous statements and see how your farm score is before thinking about importing slurry. Having said that I've just did same and DAFM official figures are only up to Oct 2022, which is a load of balls.

    Edit - Irrespective if you have a slatted shed or not, DAFM will count and allocate the number of livestock per acre/hectare dunging during the summer out on grass and dunging during the winter on a straw bed etc, iykwim.
