This is very sad news. Paul was a Dublin native who made Cork his home. He will be remembered as a gentleman, and a beloved character of our city. He was always seen around the Merchants Quay area selling the Evening Echo and collecting shopping trolleys. May he rest in peace.

RIP. Didnt know his name up to now or anything about his background but he was a familiar sight in Cork for decades.

If you knew that man so well, you'll be more than aware of his court appearances, and of his court convictions.

Can't find any newspaper link, but then, they don'tc list every court case that happens.
