Saorview / Freesat Shortcuts

Is LG the only brand of TV you sell that allows you to set up shortcuts on the remote to easily switch between Saorview (Digital Aerial) and Freesat? Do the Sonys with Freesat have a lot of key presses to go from 1 to the other?

I'm in the market for a 75" and this would be a deciding factor in selection.

    Hi Leex.

    Thanks for the post.

As far as I know it is only the LG.

We have a few Sony's here on demo. One of my colleagues is going to bring in a longer cable so we can connect it to our satellite dish.

I'll keep you posted once we try it out.

    Hi Leex.

We got to test out the Sony today and while you can't add the Freesat/Free to air satellite to favourits.

When you press the TV button on the Sony remote it bring up both side by side at the bottom of the screen and you can select either with just two or three buttons presses.

You can also go into the EPG for each by pressing down when the above screen is up. This is displayed very easily.

The EPG of the free to air satellite stations may be be complete and could be out of order though.

    Hopefully this is of help.

Thanks for that. That looks perfectly usable. I'll be keeping an eye on your Sale at end of week and may pull the trigger on a Sony.
