If a GP issues a fit to work note, can Occupational Health reject this and seek feedback from another practitioner?

Depends on your Terms and Conditions but in general, yes they can.

It is very unlikely any organisation will continue to pay out serious money over the long haul without confirmation from at least one independent source that the diagnosis is correct. This is just basic anti-fraud policy.

No idea, but does it make any difference to you how you are notified - told face to face, in writing or email. The bottom line is you'll be told the details of the physician and you'll need to arrange an appointment with them.

most likely there’ll be an email or a letter in order to have a paper/electronic trail.
