Hello All, This is just a friendly reminder to read the Forum Charter where you wish to post before posting in it. :)
Hi all, The AutoSave Draft feature is now disabled across the site. The decision to disable the feature was made via a poll last year. The delay in putting it in place was due to a bug/update issue. This should serve as a reminder to manually save your drafts if you wish to keep them. Thanks, The Boards Team.

Doing the BER course on 16th Jan with CHEVRON, anyone have any tips for course and exam?

Is it an intense course or fairly straight forward to follow?

    depends on your background

if you have experience in construction, and any kind of building heating systems, you will find it handy enough.

if youve no experience, you might find it hard to keep up.

the most important thing is learning the measurement conventions (as some of them can seem 'weird') and how to recognise heating controls

    Thanks for reply.

I did energy engineering in College but was good few years ago, working in medical device sector since.

We would of covered some of chevron course material in college, so hopefully it comes back to me again when doing course cause was a while ago.

the energy aspect is pretty basic, so you should be fine there.

the Heat Pump side of stuff is pretty involved, but you will most likely only be assessing these in new builds where the information will be provided to you from the suppliers.

a above, the measurement conventions are the important things to get right at the beginning.
