Solis Inverter Bricked after update

Hi Folks,

I'm pretty sure that update came in for me today. Tonight I noticed the battery discharge was locked at 90Amps, so I set the invertor to no battery, then switched off both Puredrive batteries via the 'reset' button. To my surprise the inverter switched off a few seconds later. This has never happened before. Strange I thought, surely it will come back on when I turn the batteries back on....Nothing. I've tried turning off all power, it hasn't come back on....😡

Does anybody know the best way to contact Solis for their warranty?

It takes a minute or 2 for the inverter to power back up when you turn off the batteries at night because there is no solar to keep it powered up. Maybe turn it all on again and give it a few minutes when the batteries are turned on.

Thanks, yes every other time it switched off when I had issues with Puredrive Firmware and needed to reset the batteries, it came back after a few minutes, only because I did set it to no battery first, but not this time. It's like it has no power, but everything is on. Looks like I got a lemon off the shelf.

Why would it need solar, it has mains and batteries?

To boot up, it uses solar pv.

Once running it uses pv or batteries.

I've seen it happen to other people.

I hope you're right. But I lost it before at night and it booted back up. Maybe the firmware updates changed something since......

Graeme is right the solid inverters are DC powered and won't turn on from grid. Generally solar will allow them to power up in morning so would be surprised if yours doesn't. They continue to run on battery DC power at night after this. Should your battery die at night then they will completely shut down
