What Virgin Media concession do you get for having their equipment on your house?

I've a big Virgin Media box on the outside of my house (and a big cable) which VM uses to provide service to my estate. In exchange VM gives me a concession: the value of the basic TV package. It's been like that since before I bought the house.

That concession was probably meaningful 20 years ago when a basic TV package was worth something. It seems almost worthless now.

What is anyone else in a similar position is getting as a concession?

You'd be lucky to even get the basic package forever at this stage, its often time limited.

I know of someone who asked for broadband instead; and Virgin changed their plans to use a nearby house instead. Which is my parents, who took the TV package.

They also got their driveway slightly widened in the process of the cable being brought up, which was handy with my mothers directional 'skills'

Its on my mothers house, they get everything half price and have done for years.
