Sitting in my car in a car park waiting for my wife to return. Seeing someone a bit nervous trying to reverse park, beeping my horn and watching those brake lights come on and car stops for what feels like an eternity. Makes me smile.

In bed sick today. My 9 year old daughter (who’s also off sick) brought me up a sandwich. As she was leaving the room, she said “Enjoy your lunch”. And then just as she closed the door “It will be your last!”.

I had to smile, because the alternative is buckling to her mind games and employing a food taster.
