Removing motion sensor from very old Eircom Phonewatch

    I bought this house ~5 years ago so the current alarm is an Eircom Phonewatch that could be ~15 years old. It still works fine, but we never use the motion sensors, and doing up the sitting room in the next few days and wondering can I remove the motion sensor in that room without causing issues? Plan to have it replaced with something modern next year.
