CGT on free shares

    Hi

I have some free shares I got years ago I want to sell. I understand I need to pay CGT @33%. Looking at the revenue examples on the website, I can't find one that matches exactly this scenario. It sounds like I don't count the entire profits as the gain, I can offset the initial market value of the shares (even though they were free) against the sum I calculate the gain on.

Anyone have any experience with this?
