For the day in it, Black Friday, picking up a PC game recommended by a history magazine (The Forgotten City on steam set in the Roman Era).

Any tips for other good historical based games (PC, Console etc)?

In context, noted historianss such as Martin Van Creveld have praised historical game playing as a means of absorbing the challenges and strategic decisons needed in the past.

There might be a few here old enough to remember Waddington’s ‘Campaign’, a board game based on Napoleonic-era warfare.
