Sex offenders' name changes.

Obviously, however much we sympathise with Sarah Sands and her children, we don't have the right to take the law into our own hands.

The paedophile who abused Sarah's children had already done time for abusing other children and had then changed his name.

Campaigners have said that, although it's illegal for convicted sex offenders to change their names without notifying the authorities, there's not much incentive for the offenders to notify.

So why are such offenders allowed to change their names at all? Why would a government be unwilling to have the law change to prevent those offenders from changing their names?
