Hi, looking for advice! I am looking for a high output stove with back boiler to heat 19 radiators and a large room. I have thrawled the internet for weeks and have come up short. I can find 1/2 stoves available being Morgan 30B and Henley Druid in 30kw but it appears that a new law was enacted prohibiting or advising against the installation of any of these stoves and all stoves should be ‘eco’ now. So my question is, is there any high output eco stoves to purchase. I can’t seem to find any so wonder what people are expected to do when the preferred product is not available. We currently have 20kw stove and a buffer tank and we are unable to heat the house efficiently so these need to be replaced! Thanks in advance.

No large boiler stoves have passed the new regulations. It’s looking like it’s not possible. The regulation is against the manufacture of them more than the installation of them. There’s is nothing stopping the installation of any stove model that already exists. So if you can find a big boiler stove then there is nothing stopping you from installing it.

There may be a few Stratford EB25s around and this may be the best stove option for you. A Druid 30 or a Morgan 30B ok also. If your after the best place to purchase any of them then pm me your location and I can direct you to best shop near you.

After contacting a few more places this week, I’m now told that even a 30kw boiler stove (pre new reg) is not sufficient to heat our home adequately. It’s already cost us so much being ill advised on the system we have in place atm that we don’t want to make the same mistake twice. We were advised to replace the 1000 buffer tank with a much smaller cylinder and new stove and we should see a difference but due to costs we would like to try a new stove and see how that fairs with the buffer before removing it. There seems to be huge demand for boiler stoves at the minute. What would be your preference between Stratford v Henley/Morgan?
