New sink and worktop

Quick question on quote I got to install new sink and worktop. I was thinking of attempting myself but lots could go wrong. Leaking sink or worktop cut too sort or something 😂

So I said I'd try getting quote. I got a of €1800 to install a new sink and worktop obviously I'd get the sink and worktop top but labour the man wants €1800.is this the going rate or did see a clown coming in me 🤡😂

Basic worktop but sink is Belfast type sink from IKEA where the front of the sink is exposed

If its just a swap out of existing sink and counter top it sounds very pricy just for labour.

When you say a basic worktop, do you mean the laminated chipboard type?

These do not go well with a Belfast sink, it needs to be solid wood, granite, or Corian type stuff.

It's very difficult to seal the laminated stuff properly.
