Can a "Nobbed" hurley be fixed

My young fella came back from a match recently where there was a lot of messing going on with him and his pals, and both of his hurlies ended up being "nobbed" with the small piece at the top that stops the hurley falling out of your hand being broken off on both.

He's giving out now and saying he needs a new hurley as if they weren't 25-30 euros to buy new. Can these be fixed?

Do you have the ‘knob’ piece that got broken off…..If so a combination of glue and some carefully located screws should sort it by out…..i managed to sort a ‘hurl’ last year this way.

No the pieces are gone.

I might wander out to Star Hurleys one of the days and see will they fix it.

Harder to fix without the knob….but I’m sure the Hurley maker/repairer may be able to make or have a few knobs to spare……..and if not there are always the knobs on the side who verbally abuse the officials etc….🤪🤪
