BOI Mistake on mortgage AIP and now delaying on rectifying

Hi

We got an AIP 3 weeks ago and were all set to request offer letter once 2 additional documents were submitted, then broker noticed the AIP was for an incorrect amount. BOI admitted their mistake but now we have gone back to the back of the queue to have it rectified. We just can't believe it 😨

We are sale agreed on a house and waiting to sign once we receive a letter but seems nothing our broker can do to have this mistake rectified. Like other posters, last week we were told we'd have it Monday, then on Tuesday we were told we'd have it Wednesday, now are told it will be Monday again. How can they not have better idea of timeline? It is causing undue stress and anxiety and our vendor is getting nervous, wondering why we haven't signed yet.

As it is an error by BOI, is there no way to expedite resolving it? It just beggars belief that we are back in the regular queue for credit review..

I am sorry to hear of your experience. As you applied for your mortgage through a mortgage broker, they would need to contact Bank of Ireland mortgages directly for information relating to this.

Mortgages would be out of our remit here.
