C1 licence

Hi

I have my regular car B license for 8 years now.

I'm wanting to become a paramedic so need the c1 licence.

Can someone point me in the right direction.

I need the theory test for it? Then cpc case studies?? Then the c1 driving test. Is that right?

If you can’t figure this out ourself, the patients would be better served with you not being a paramedic.

Do you need the Driver CPC as a paramedic? You can certainly do the C1 test without CPC if you wanted to clear the theory test and C1 test first.

No you don't need any CPC training as the emergency services are exempt from it, You do need to sit the theory test though and when completed apply for the test.

Imo you be better off just doing the C test as the driving test fee is the same, Or if you're in a voluntary group maybe they could bring you out for a spin in the ambulance.

The C1 test is handy enough for anyone who's done a bit of van driving with a couple of lessons to cover the test routes and iron out bad habits. Most people will require a few more lessons to pass a C test than a C1, that's what costs the money rather than the test.

No OP you don't need the CPC. Just sit the theory, then apply for the test. No 12 lessons like cars need but it's good to get some lessons in anyway with your local C1 instructor. Some places don't do the c1 so getting the C is an option although considerably more difficult/pricey due the to size of the lorry.
