I got a new Samsung today so I need to clone my old phone but I can't figure out how to do it. All the online advise is very complicated I thought it was simple. Any ideas here guys would be appreciated.

Just did it myself recently (thanks bargain alerts!)

Assuming going from Android to Android.

Open Google app on your old phone . Type in setup my phone & follow on screen instructions.

Also connect new & old phones by usb cable & turn on Bluetooth on both phones

Follow the steps on setup. No need for any 3rd party apps/hacks

Screen is broken on my Xiaomi mi 9t and I got a replacement Poco m4. Wondering if anyone has any idea if it's possible to set up with the screen broken? :-(

If you have your things backed up to google then it should just be straightforward.
