Can you book your test before EDT is finished?

As above. Basically I need to get the full licence ASAP for work (I work late & the last bus home is 8:30pm, so it’s completely unsuitable).

I definitely don’t drive alone, naturally, never sir not me. But ya know if I did I’m at risk of losing the car and getting points, so I’d like to have the test out of the way as soon as. I’ll be eligible to sit the test from March & was hoping to book it for around early/mid March so I can hopefully avoid a waiting list but if I need all my lessons to be done first, that shoots that down.

No, you need to have the 12 done and uploaded to the system, then wait another 2 weeks before you can pay for and join the full license test waiting list.

It seems you can join the list and pay but cannot actually book a slot though? (I checked) but I’m wondering if they’ll just cancel that after & refund you til then.

but would it be correct to say then that you can book the test before holding the permit for 6 months but you cannot sit the test?

so say I did my last lesson tomorrow, in two weeks I can book my test but not for a date before March?

Your appointment will be cancelled if you're not eligible

If you have a driving test scheduled but have not yet completed all of your required training we will cancel your test five days before your appointment date. You won’t lose your fee and you will be kept on our waiting list. We will email you another booking invitation after you’ve met this requirement
