Turn off ESB main switch

Hello,

Is it possible to turn off this ESB main switch? Is there a defeat mechanism that I'm not seeing? The ON/OFF switch on the front doesn't appear to rotate freely and I don't want to force it.

You need an Allen key that slots into the center

Thanks, Will try that tomorrow. I'll face palm myself if its that simple. I was trying to turn it with my finger tips 🤪

If you want to turn your power off then turn it off at the main breaker on your fuse board

It’s that simple alright. The green plastic bit needs to be pushed in as per photo

only a rec is permitted to work on a distribution board

Prob be a rec back anyhow in 6 months time after the DIY replacement
