    Hi,

looking for info on importing a vintage motorbike from NI.

Seller has a copy of the previous owner slip. Thinks he has tax book too.

DVLA Reg check says that it is SORN and that last V5C was issued in Sept 2020.

Is just the slip enough to import it?

    Thanks

    James

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

He will have to have it issued to him, in his name., from DVLC.

Also important: if make sure it's marked as registered in his name prior to December 2020, otherwise you're going to get hit for Customs and VAT on top of the VRT.

Thanks. Been reading loads of different things, it ain't easy!

Couldn't be too much on a 1985 50cc with 7.5k miles on? Sale price is about £750

Little TS50X, I'd buy here but nothing available

imported a 1981 R100 last year. Was pretty simple. But you need the full log book.

I paid €0 on the fees due to age

on something like that, fees will be small anyway, so not a biggie.
