I normally like to bank after a wildy but TAA has got to go.

I thought the few weeks off and the England situation would have him focused and raring to go but he was a liability yesterday.

Not sure where to go yet.... someone a lot cheaper and more productive

Thankfully I sold TAA a few weeks ago but still have Salah and Diaz. I want to sell Salah for zaha which would give me 6 million in the bank. I’m not sure what to do with that if anything. Upgrade Jesus or mitro to Kane?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,003 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Least Diaz is returning relative to his price, Mitro to Kane would be good move.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,003 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Rodrigo starts for Leeds, could be a decent option for Martinelli owners if he shows anything today.

hmm, City have Southampton up next at Home, tempted to bring in Foden, even though they don't have a game in GW12

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,788 ✭✭✭Benimar

Salah and Mitro to Kane and Bowen/Zaha for free.

Kept faith in Salah until this week but it’s time to go. Even if Mitro is fit he just trolls me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,656 ✭✭✭Western Pomise

Am thinking of selling Mitro for Jesus but would need to take a -4 hit to afford it and sell someone like James for Saliba in defence.

Is there any word on how serious Mitro injury is?

Foden is predicted to rise in price tonight if that impacts your decision. I think I'll move to bring him in for Kulusevski tonight and play my free hit in game week 12 since I then will probably have 3 Arsenal and 3 Man. City. Just can't see myself shifting out the players I have from those teams just for that week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,003 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Yea looking at maybe Martinelli and Jesus to Foden and Wilson, will help reduce my City/Arsenal players from 5 to 4, and get two in form players. While I didn't see the Newcastle game, Wilson reckons he should have gotten a hattrick, so that's promising form wise. I don't mind losing Martinelli as he hasn't actually done much recently, but not overly sure about Jesus. I won't lose any value so he's easy to sell and buy back.

However, Arsenal play Leeds in GW11 and we all know how open Leeds play. I have 0.1m to play around with. will see.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,639 ✭✭✭macraignil

Saw the Newcastle game and not sure about Wilson getting a hat-trick. He's usually a very confident player so probably thinks that about every game. I think he is a good choice but sticking with Jesus myself as I think he does have a good chance of getting more points than Wilson over the season mostly just because of Wilson's habit of picking up injuries that keep him out for a few weeks. He was not happy about Howe taking him off when Fulham were playing with a player down and if he did play the full 90 minutes there is a good chance he would have scored again. Could see why he was subbed since he is just back from hamstring problems.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,003 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Might just take the pain on the price rises and see what happens with the mid-week games, last thing I want is to bring in a player and them get injured or have issues elsewhere.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,639 ✭✭✭macraignil

Probably the more sensible option. Got caught last week by bringing in Maddison early because he was so close to a price rise but would have brougth him in for Kulusevski if I had left it closer to deadline when the information on Kulu being likely out was known. Subbed out Almiron so missed out on his two goals this week.

Waiting on Mitro news but otherwise sticking with the plan to lose one Arsenal and one City player over the next two gws. Think its going to be Saka and Cancelo to maybe Zaha and someone else. Have only 0.1m of value tied up in Cancelo so he is an easy drop and gives the option to get back into 3 City players in GW13 with Foden instead. Foden is tempting right now to be honest with Southampton at home up next, could be a cricket score.

Reece James hanging in there at least one more week, if he cant get a clean sheet vs Wolves I despair

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,827 ✭✭✭LostArt

Exact same issue for me. I'll probably buy Trippier.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,003 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

hmm Maddison might be an option and will have a game in GW12. But will probably still go with Foden, at home v Southampton could be a cricket score. Leicester away from home who knows how that would go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,721 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

If you get Foden how are you fixed for the blank in 12, how many can you field? Im on 10 at the moment provided I sell one each of City & Arsenal so if I got Foden it would be 9. Still seriously tempted because of that Southampton game and because his record vs Liverpool in the PL is decent, he has played 4 and gotten 3 goals and 2 assists

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,003 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Currently have 5 City/Arsenal, Foden in for Martinelli, and then someone else as to need balance the books - either Jesus or Saliba would make sense to plan for GW12, leaning more towards Saliba out, as Jesus could score a few against Leeds. Got Saliba at 4.5m though so will lose a bit on him.

Alternatively, I could just do Martenilli and Son out for Foden and Maddisson as two in-form players, but Son did get a hattrick in GW8.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,721 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

5 City Arsenal is a good enough starting position, Ive got 6 so need to lose two in order to field 10 players that week. Foden is tempting though even if it means fielding 9 in GW12. He finally seems to be delivering what he has promised. The flip side of that the Pep roulette must be coming some stage soon with the CL back this week. The Southampton game would seem an opportunity for him to rest someone

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,003 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Yea obv that's the fear, in the interview after the game, Foden made some comments about him and Haaland being on the same wavelength now but always a worry that could be benched. Although it wasn't long ago that everyone saying that Haaland would be bench some game - can't see that happening until his scoring streak is burst - he'll be aiming for Vardy's record otherwise. We've seen in the past Southampton getting walloped, and not sure that Bazum gets the protection he needs around him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,721 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

I had another look at it and of course the only way I can get Foden now is to sell Cancelo as I already have 3 city with Haaland and KdB. It would also mean taking a -4. I fancy Cancelo to get a clean sheet so thats 6 points and the -4 meaning Foden would have to haul big time v Soton to make it worthwhile.

If I only had 2 City players reckon Id definitely be getting Foden in now as Id have no fear playing him v Liverpool given his record against them. But going to hold off for now. I do think the new City template will leave out Cancelo and be Haaland, KdB and Foden, they have scored 29 goals in 8 games now so its all about the attack

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,922 ✭✭✭Chuck Noland

Zaha is tempting me. And Wilson but both feel like traps

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,455 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Selling Foden is one of my biggest regrets of the season. 6 returns in 4 games since.

I'd seriously give him thought at bringing him in this GW again, irrespective of the blank. Currently only on 3 MCI/ARS players so I'm not exactly at pains to avoid those players.

Also, Dias dropping before Southampton at home is odd. He was on the bench last game.

I think if Wilson can stay injury free he will do well. Im kind of regretting not going for him over Toney. Saka to Zaha is my own planned transfer but am doubting it now, he does have good fixtures but Ive been here before with him and he didnt deliver. I watched a bit of the Chelsea game and it seemed Eduoard was more lively than him

    Oh Trent 😑

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,136 ✭✭✭✭How Soon Is Now

This could backfire spectacularly but I'm thinking of going Martinelli to Maddison and Trent to a defender 5.3 or less maybe Dalot or someone similar. No one else is really catching my eye atm apart from maybe a Palace defender but there's been a few injuries at the back there and they haven't been as solid this season yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,651 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

Looking for a budget defender, already have Guehi and Cucuerella. Coming down to Zouma, Fofana, Mee, Tarkowski, Jonny

All fairly uninspiring. I was amazed that after City (4) Bournemouth and Wolves are in the group with the next most Clean Sheets

    Anyone with any strong opinions?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,455 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Fofana looks like he might have a nasty injury again.

I was close to picking Zouma on WC last GW, but went Coufal instead to save cash. Regretting that now, and prefer if I had Zouma as he looks to be more nailed. West Ham have some nice fixtures coming up now too.

I’ll definitely be looking to fit in one West Ham defender.

Will probably do Mitrovic to Wilson

Bruno Lage has been sacked so Wolves are in flux though I dont think their squad is so deep the new manager can drop players. What about Arsenals White, I think he is still £4.6m or are you already on Ramsdale/Saliba and avoiding the Arsenal double up?

Other than that Tyrone Mings is going under the radar somewhat, £4.3m and has 15 points in his last two fixtures. He has a habit of popping up with the odd goal from a corner and he got all 3 bonus v Soton just with a clean sheet alone so guessing he had a header or two on target to get the bps. Cheap enough that he can be benched in more difficult games.

Has there been solid news on Mitro? Im really tempted by Wilson as well and regretting buying Toney over him and it proved that way over the weekend. Wilson is made of glass but when he does play he tends to get a lot of chances.

I already have Toney also but will wait on tomorrow's pressers before I do anything

2fts. Feeling like I want to take out KDB + Bailey for Foden + Zaha. That leaves me without an option for Salah for GW12/13 but I think I'll be covered for captain by either bringing in Trossard at home to Forrest or Trent. Anyone else considering (or going) with one premium?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,220 ✭✭✭Mr Crispy

Yeah, considering just the one. I think the problem is that Haaland is just so damn good he makes all the other premiums look like ridiculously poor value. Seriously, he should be priced at £16M or something next season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 311 ✭✭mindhorn

1FT and 0.8m ITB. WC already used. I'd like to have more City/Arsenal in there but conscious of GW12. Shift Fofana out probably the only move to make for this GW? Played 4-3-3 in the last GW. Bring Cucurella back in?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 323 ✭✭The Guru 123

No I wouldn’t bring in Cucurella, no guarantees at all on his minutes. Maybe Guehi at Palace? 4.3 and great fixtures coming or else Zouma from West Ham another option.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,908 ✭✭✭Cartman78

What are other TAA & Salah owners thinking atm??

I was all set to sell one or possibly both of them (for a post wildcard hit) but wavering now again and might given them one final final final final final final final chance

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,815 ✭✭✭bantee

I got rid of TAA on the WC last week but I'm going to hold Salah and roll the FT this week. KDB is tempting but not sure if he'll be rested against Southampton, plus don't fancy adding a player that blanks in GW12. Already have 3 Ars/City in Cancelo, Martinelli & Haaland.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 391 ✭✭Med101007

Anyone know what I should do with this team with 1FT and 0.1m ITB. I haven't used the wildcard yet so I'm looking to use it this week. What would be the best players to bring into this line-up for the coming weeks leading into the World Cup. I'm thinking any players who are pushing for a place in their respective World Cup squads.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,455 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Is Scamacca trying to be too smart? If Mitrovic is out, I'll do that possibly, as I need to get some West Ham points while they have the fixtures and I'm not confident of Coufal getting the minutes now. Bad selection there, I should have went Zouma.

Otherwise, possibly Salah -> Foden. Gives an extra headache for GW12, but points are more important right now.

haha Salah is on his final final final chance with me, he has to come good at some point

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,651 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

Arsenal have no clean sheets in their last 10 home games, wouldn't exactly fill you with confidence. Zouma seems the smart move, Jonny is giving me the eyes though, Lopetegui has a decent defensive record with Sevilla, clean sheet every other game for the last two seasons

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,362 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

I've Salah Cartman and was originally going to hold. With Bailly a doubt, I'm looking at Salah and Bailly to Maddison and Foden. I know you're in a similar boat OR wise so taking a hit is risky but feel the latter will outscore the former even with a -4.

Will have 3 City then and no Arsenal for GW12 so will need to plan for that, most likely Foden to Diaz. Salah not worth the money for me as I've Haaland and Kane too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,651 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

Anyone with any knowledge on Sergio Gomez?

Hub have him starting for City with Walker out, what are their other options? It looks like Cancelo is on the right and he is left back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,455 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

I'd take a guess that it is between Ake and Gomez to play LB.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 727 ✭✭✭slimshady007

Surely the rest fear is eliminated by him not playing in the CL game this week? Likewise with Foden. I'd say they're both nailed on to start v Southampton.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,815 ✭✭✭bantee

True, I didn't spot that but adding a GW12 player that blanks still valid, plus its Pep

I’m in a similar situation to you, I’m wildcarding next week, keeping 4 city/Arsenal players, transferring 1 out for 12 then one back in for 13.
