Short golf break in Ireland

Hi all, was looking to get away for a night with my brother and dad in the next month or two and get a round of golf in - does anyone know of any good deals going at the moment for hotel stay including golf? I've gone to a few sites such as golfbreaks.ie, etc but doesn't seem to be much out there - maybe its the time of year..?

Was going to suggest golfbreaks.ie but if there's nothing much there you're probably best picking a couple of resort courses and calling them up for a deal.

What about rosslare? There's a hotel pretty much across the road, the course is lovely and if the weather gets wet it should stay in decent condition.

The only thing I'd be wary of is a course that can't be played. The parklands near me can get waterlogged quite easy. Look for options with year round play and hope the elements play ball.

I'd be aiming for sooner rather than later. My feeling would be that there should be some good value available.

Another option would be a cheap ryanair flight to the UK. Possible to fly to some regional cities for €100 ish return inc golf bag (€60 return for the bag fee last time I checked).

Sorry to hijack the thread but I am planning a short trip myself at the end of next month on the east coast.

Does anybody know what the Golf Ireland rates are for the European or if they are running any opens?

Woodenbridge Hotel have 2 night 3 round deals for approx. €250. Choice of 11 courses. Stayed there a few years back and was happy with what we got.

Portmarnock links with a hotel onsite. Stay and play. You should be looking at links options at that time of year and Portmarnock links holds up better than anywhere I've ever seen in winter. https://www.portmarnock.com/ Close to airport. Nice towns of malahide and howth nearby too with good dinner and places to have a pint and a laugh.

I gave them a ring this morning and they told me that they don't do Golf Ireland rates.

275 euro for weekends, 250 euro for weekdays

The winter rate starting on November 1st is 140 euro

However they are starting an Open Fourball from next week and it will run every Thursday, Friday & Saturday over the winter. That is priced at a more reasonable €90
