First corner is generally a good one at the start of the race. The rest of the race not so much 😂

Looking like there might be rain for the start of the race. With the humidity it must be a tough one for the drivers and with the track just corner after corner I'd be expecting a few mistakes. It's good to see Singapore back

Hamilton summoned to stewards over his nose piercing

Might be a bit exciting with the evolving track, and that one wet corner (17).

Mick dumps Bottas out with a late last lap.

BOT, RIC and OCO join the Williams pair in the bottom 5.

Track didn’t dry out as they expected but it will be really interesting when the track starts drying up and ramping up.

    Slicks incoming for LeClerc..

    Or maybe not.

Russell out in Q2 is a surprise.

Softs not working at all, so an intermediate final shoot out you would think.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,345 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

Good to see both Alpha Tauris and Kmag into Q1

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,462 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Well it seems slicks are being used!

    Ferrari still not sure

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,048 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Well this Q3 will be good.

Good man Yuki put it on the front row

Time it right to be last over the line on slicks and you have a great chance.

Max aborts his last two runs,

the team told him to on the final one, and he didn't sound happy.

Pulled for inspection and sounds like he might not have had enough fuel left if he'd gone round. Would have had pole otherwise I reckon.

good Lap from alonso in P5. Charles LeClerc on pole.

I suspect the last one was to make sure they had enough fuel for the sample. The lap before he was flying and aborted in sector 3

Why did Verstappen abort his second last flying lap? Not the last one…

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,048 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

From the radio messages it sounds like that fuel was the issue.

Great quali, hope we have a damp race.

Enjoyable quali. Good to see the experience of Hamilton and Alonso counting in the conditions. Max left with some work to do.

Looked like Max aborted the second last lap off his own bat, not knowing he wouldn't have had fuel for the last lap... Hardly though?

Max was struggling but you can see how much he has matured as a driver

    Great recovery by Checo
