I have been told that I must visit a Bank of Ireland branch to change my address. Since I can't visit one in the near future since I live in Los Angeles, I have been advised to write a letter from the authorities attesting to the fact that my California address is legit. Ok. But to what address should I mail this letter?…

Thanks for your post here on Boards.ie.
If you're registered for online banking you should be able to update the address on your account on the Services screen when logged on. If you've been requested to provide proof of your address this can be sent by post to your account holding branch.
