Lime and grazing

Quick question. A local sheep farmer is putting some animals on my field but is talking about spreading quarry lime first. How long before he can graze the sheep? Thanks

The next day if they wanted.
Have they soil tested the pH and how do they know it wants lime and even which lime (magnesium or calcium lime).
A local sheep farmer was a great man for the lime. He had too much going out and feck all grass but the lime had to be spread.

I had it tested a few years ago. Needed 3t /acre. waiting on new results next week.
