In a surprising departure from the well trodden protocols, our delicious and beautiful friends in Castle Montrosia have REVEALED their STELLAR LINE-UP a day earlier than usual.

So, I am obliged to do likewise. This week features, along with a thread which will asthmatically struggle to exceed five pages, Sporty Spice (who has aged quite well, it has to be said), and Brian Cox (the actor, not the physicist).

I wouldn't mind either of these people as guests, except for the fact that they'll be sitting opposite Ichabod ToyMan.

More to follow once the (official rte.ie) puff piece gets released sometime tomorrow.

Saw Jeff Bridges on ‘The One Show’ earlier, talking about how he beat cancer and only ONE (mediocre) chat show host came to mind who would love to interview him!

    Great thread title Mr Parsley!!

A big problem with the Late Late Show is obviously rattling out the usual suspects (Dermot Bannon, Pat Short etc).......but the ultimate problem lies with the host...

When you actually have decent enough guests like the spice girl and Brian Cox....they are wasted with Tubridy looking to talk about death or what they think of the Irish........... "arent we great craic".....

Jesus, Jeff Bridges would be a superb guest....Tubridy doesnt deserve to be in the same room as him...

Graham Norton is back on BBC1 tomorrow night too, so that's a few 1000 knocked off the viewing figures anyway.

It might be telling that RTÉ released these over the course of the week rather then the normal Thursday. I am not sure how that will work out for them. I tune in to Brian Cox but I know Tubs will just guffaw with him about succession and not about any other part of his career, though he will mention Hannibal.

Just one more thing .... when did they return that car

Be nice to hear Ciara Mageean, she’s been consistently successful picking up a fine haul of medals for herself and Ireland over the last 6 years or so years… Goes about her work with minimal fuss, self publicity or fanfare so will be nice to pick up an insight.

I'm not really a fan of Paul Brady, but I love Steel Claw the song he wrote for Tina Turner. It's on her great Private Dancer album.

When the Brian Cox interview does eventually get rescheduled it will probably be a pre-recorded video interview 🙄 but hey we get the amazing Tommie Gorman instead 🙄

Brian Cox was the first proper guest this show has lined up in a very long time.....and just like that...he was gone!

Id say he got wind of how painful Tubridy is.....Cox doesnt fancy talking misery, death and how much he loves Ireland.....

    Good decision by him.....
