Any NBI fibre providers allow bridge mode, does it matter?

I have just become eligible for NBI fibre. Timing is good as just done some home renovation with Cat 6 around the house and have just bought a unifi dream machine pro and some unifi switches access points, so hope to have good speeds all round the house, with TVs wired and Synology NAS which backs up everyone's photos and data automatically.

Haven't done enough research, but would also plan to switch landline to VOIP, but phone would be far from router, so will need to work from an ethernet point or WiFi.

Anyway, I may be wrong but of the impression that if the ISP's router is just in bridge mode, then I'll just have to worry about the dream machine setup which I will be able to access.

Contacted aptus this week, and they don't allow bridge mode for residential setup, and can't sell me a business package anyway as I'm NBI.

Is there a provider that will be happy to allow this, or am I wrong in thinking that I'll potentially end up with problems with the two routers in series?

You wont need to use there modem or Bridge mode just plug your own router to the ONT and set to VLAN 10

Apologies for reviving an old trade. Real b man are you saying it's as simple as plugging any router into the ont? I'm with aptus too but want to change from their router

I haven't bothered to see about setting it up, but if you go into their router settings, there appear to be login details, which I don't have (and haven't asked Aptus for). Haven't tried too hard as I'm not having any problems so far just plugging my UDM pro into their router.
