Everyones heard of the Billionaires buying New Zealand Citizenship to hopefully survive the "Event" as they call it. An Event that could really be easily avoided if the same billionaires could get by with maybe 10 billion instead of 15 but anywho.

Hiding out for years in a Bunker hoping your Navy Seal security team don't kill ya and rape your wife and kids....which they will. Or the people you kept under the sole of your shoe all them years don't find a way in. Haha.

I do wonder whats coming though alot more lately...little old woman died in England there and the private jets haven't left the skies since. Climate catastrope is already locked in (and has been for years)...Brazil are currently buring Mayo land size that they logged so far this year to put cows on next year. 60yo fella going through famine in Kenya on RTE news there is struggling to feed his 8 kids....waiting on the 40 billion promised from COP26....he'll be waiting....I look at the dopey shower we have in Office here coming back from the summer hols and one crisis after another, healthcare, housing, Energy etc and all easily avoided if they'd listen to the experts...the science is there. But to busy lobbing to make sure they get the max rental income from their other properties.

I was going to react, 'well if you could, why wouldn't you?'.

But really, even with money, I can't see myself being at peace in a new dystopia and a very restricted life compared to what I'd known before.

I don't accept that any particular climate consequences are "locked in", because this ikkle Planet of ours has a long history of moderating extreme effects, without which we wouldn't have made it even this far - but - if things do get rough, I'm gonna follow my nuclear war plan and make sure I'm dead good and early.

The planet will be grand. Takes centuries to repair our damage but centuries are nothing to a 9 billion year life span. Everything you have ever known about or cared about has happened in a few hundred billionths of that timescale. We could all die in the morning and the planet will barely hiccup.

The only way this Planet will be liveable for humanity, is for there to be 2 or 3 billion of humans, not 8 billion.

Any attempts by man to compensate for the inequality of the current equation, are unwinnable.

We will find a way, through our current profligacy, to reduce ourselves from 8 to 3 billion and nature will be only too glad to assist.

As you say, the Planet will scarcely hiccup.

No, I don't have solar, but it's what the solar panel hobbyists on boards do, some even complaining the local councils wont trim or fell trees to improve their panel output. Mind boggling.

Ye this has been going on for years. I remember Sky News had a program on when the Clown was in charge of the good old USA and there were people saying there will be a civil war there and they will wait it out in there bunker till its over lol. Some people just have far too much money and no sense.

There is more than enough food on this planet for us all if only it would be shared better and if the rich helped build poor countries better then everyone could be better of too but some hope of that no they have to have that tenth house or that new Ferrari to add to the hundred cars they already have and barely ever dtrive.

I'm guessing if the "apocalypse" happens it will be nuclear war or a massive chunk of rock hitting the earth. Either way the planet would be inhabitable for many many years and the air would be toxic so when you eventually come out of the bunker you'd die slowly anyway so i don't see the point of it. I'd rather be living in a major city that was nuked and die instantly than in a bunker for ages going mad only to eventually die anyway.

I see putin wanted to renegotiate the grain deal as it was meant to be going to the poorest and its not...hes not wrong. Famine in Africa and 30,000 tonnes of grain came in to Ireland to feed cows.
