Yeah I started doing something similar as well using an Ubiquiti fiber gateway as the "router" and a bunch of access points around the house, makes things so simple and plug-and-play if I ever need to change ISPs. Now if I ever get the time to put all IOT crap on their own VLAN 🤣

I was using energypal.ie to check if we were better off moving to another provider and it seems that going from Energia to Flogas would save me a couple of hundred quid. But I also noticed the attached and we are getting 95% of our electricity needs from the night rate.

We have a 8kw array and 10kwh battery and on an annual basis we generate about 7k units of which 4k are exported, 5.5k of units go on charging our EV and 2.5k units on charging the Huawei battery, also inverter is set to TOU.

Just wondering based on this info are we operating in the most efficient way or should we be doing something different?

You could try shifting the charging times for the battery to 2am to 5am or 6am

If you aren't seeing a huge amount of overspill to other times then you might be better off on an EV specific tariff which can be very cheap around 2am onwards

You can always do this for a few months and see how it shapes up in EP

I've been doing that for a year or two now even though I'm still on the old day/night plan. So far it's only around €50 cheaper to go to the EV plan so I didn't bother, better to keep the flexibility for now

Overall, I'd say you aren't doing anything wrong, I'm seeing a similar pattern myself
