up the north it certainly didn't, which is where most of the roaming would happen

Took some googling and trial and error to get 48.ie working in NI and Wales. We used NI to test the roaming going to Donegal before the big jump to Wales. 🤣

But it did work. BUT no confidence it'll work somewhere else or when you need it.

Also, they have a new 12.99 sign up charge. Sly !!

But it's cheap for me so it'll do for now.

No functional difference for me, so I think I'll stay with my 7.99 plan.

If someone would like to make a complaint, they can do so with information from here. I think you would be specifying "The advertisement of “unlimited” downloads while operating a fair usage policy" as the issue.

I've now moved my phone number to GoMo. I hope their word is better than 48.

By the way, it took GoMo just 15 minutes to move my number to them, and that includes GoMo setting up my data also.

GoMo seems to be a bill pay plan, where your bill is guaranteed to be €14.99, unless you make premium calls etc.

Followed the instructions online from 48, switch on and off phones, waited, repeat. Mine was fine to set up. But my wife's was a PITA. Think we were about to give up and it started working. So, trial and error and time. This was middle of July.

No. I don't work for GoMo. Do you work for 48?. GoMo's plan has been around for 1 year longer than 48's lifetime membership, but GoMo have not broken their word, yet.
