    We are a small volunteer local group with about 14 members.

    In the past 3 weeks we've secured 4k of council grants & 2k of lottery grants, this is more than we could spend in 5 years yet there will be another round of grants in 12 months time, go again.

    I'm thinking of a night at the dogs to burn through this lot, bus hire, free bets, free bar, table platters . . . treasurer will put it through as "training expenses", hall & instructor rental invoice, job done.

    Local soccer club just got a 75k grant for proper dug-outs & all weather pitch.

    Local retail got 5k each to upgarde shop fronts & remove old wiring.

    You volunteer for anything in this country & they throw money at you, how rich are we, it's great, bloody amazing country, what are you all whinging about ?
