They are just useless. No matter how many times you tie them they still open and then try to kill you. I will take a pair of high heels anyday. Much safer :)

All road signs in Irish. They removed all the bilingual road signs near me in West Galway and replaced them with Irish only. Made no sense.

Oh I disagree with you on the leaf blowers. Used right they are brilliant and also handy for cleaning a yard after turf or after Autumn.

A good storum is better than any mechanical leaf blower. I used to walk past one fella every day blowing leaves into the air and the following morning they'd be back again. Their greatest utility is keeping the eejits using them busy

Yeah, I've a cordless Dyson and wouldn't go back to luging some plug-in R2D2 around the house again. Does a great job - and I even let people wear shoes in my house.

Most useless commonly used invention is probably the house alarm. No one pays a blind bit of heed to a house alarm going off, for fcuking hours on end, other than thinking that the house owners are cnuts that deserve to be having their house ransacked.
