EBS €10 gov't fee + 30c ATM fees?

I just opened an account with EBS and was told that there is an unavoidable €10 government fee that all banks need to pay and a 30c ATM withdrawal fee. On their website, it says ATM withdrawals are charged at 12c per transaction up to €2.50 as part of the government stamp duty. I'm familiar with a €5 government stamp duty for using a debit card at ATMs and/or tapping etc. Where is this €10 fee coming from? I can't find anywhere that mentions €10, all I can find is €5 (on revenue's website). Was the EBS banker mistaken?

Perhaps you have 2 bank cards or it's a joint account with 2 cards?

no, it's only me on the account. i haven't received my debit card in the mail yet, but i believe i am only getting one card. i only want/need one card.

thank you! the banker must have just gotten it wrong... *fingers crossed* nowhere in those docs does it say anything about any €10 government fees or 30c ATM fees

No problem. They are a decent bank, only downside is their online banking is poor.

The only fee is government stamp duty which applies on the debit card but this is the same for all banks.
