Currently enroute to this myself. First time at a go and crazy to think it could be spas last for a while.

Hard to know who improved over the break. Merc have been quiet so that can only mean good things for them.

Leclerc out to 6/1 from 2/1 second favourite. The bookies must know something. I fancy Norris for a podium, he was going well here last year before crashing in the wet qualifying session.

He's taking engine penalties, if he's starting from the back of the grid then 6/1 is tight odds really, even with Spa being a good place to overtake

Aston with the lowest DF wing I’ve ever seen, insane.

Hearing that both Leclerc & Max starting from the back. Should make for a great race if so!

Great chance for the 2 Mercs and also for Sainz & Pérez.. well, for pretty much everyone else really..

Updates for each team this weekend ...So far. Nothing on engine penalties confirmed as of yet.

Autosport "The Belgian GP also sees the enforcement of F1's new Aerodynamic Oscillation Metric, or AOM as it'll be known, which will limit cars porpoising during the race"

thought this was just a data gathering thing and not a rule ?

At this rate the grid might look like the Hungarian restart last year.

The back of the grid could well see more action than the front of the grid on Sunday.

Add in a spot or two of rain aswell.

It promises to be a fantastic race.

    Love Spa !

Well that sets it up for a fantastic race! Going to Zandvoort next week, wish they all had managed to wait till then for all the penalties😂

And Spa is saved for next year as south Africa talks fell through.

I haven't seen the cars on track. Are any of the track changes noticeable? I heard, on the radio coverage, they were bottoming on the resurfaced areas. Did they make a balls of the resurfacing or is that normal settling? I'd have thought the resurfaced parts would be the smoother than the old parts.

They also said the track changes are to make it more appealing to other formulae. Spa sees the writing on the wall so they're looking to the future. The track is long but it doesn't have much capacity for fans in either camping or stands, so they can't sell enough tickets to make much money from the F1 race. They'd either need lots of permanent grandstands and camping or build roads to get people in and out on the day or just focus on other races instead.

Theres the marking , its not all the cars . I think RedBull ,Mclaren and one other team were mentioned as the main one bottoming out going through

Will Leclerc and Max both go for pole to start ahead of each other when penalties are applied or will they do a handy q1 to save tyres?

Do they both have the same penalties?

Are the stewards the same for F1 as F3? I was watching the F3 sprint race this morning and there is the same level of inconsistency as F1. 5 second for causing a collision, 10 seconds for causing a crash and a drive through for a jump start that didn't create an advantage, the drive through seemed incredibly harsh, the red flag would have really compound the severity.

Could potentially have a Q3 here with over half the field not able to qualify on pole.

Love the changes on the track.

Great to be back after the four week break. Hope you all are feeling and doing good.

Did they give an expected start time?

Btw there’s not a hope in hell I’d be up the height that those people were when they were talking about grid penalties and the track barrier damage.

What's it from? Formula 3 or 2 or something is it?

And more importantly, is the driver who caused the damage OK?
