    Looking to see if anyone knows or would know someone that works at ecu (BRAIN) of the car, or where would I get and ecu kit for an opel vectra c, 1.6 petrol

    Opel's and dodgy ECUs seem to be a trend . I know a friend that replaced two by dealer in the same year.

    A Google search for ECU repair Ireland brings up a few places. I recommend ringing ahead and get a quote. The better places might want the whole car and they might already have refurbished units ready to go.

    Typically they need to be programmed to match the car so they are not easily DIY swappable.
