Protect against roof moss

I spent a few weeks during the summer scraping thick moss off a roof. It had been a long time since the roof was last touched so there was quite a build up.

While I still have the ladder on loan, is there anything preventative I can do to stop the moss building up again? Something I can spray/wash/brush on? AFAIK the tiles are concrete double Roman.

I think the main cause might be a neighbour's tree overshadowing the roof during the afternoon, but I'd rather clear the moss every so often than get rid of a tree.

As long as the source is there you'll always be fighting a battle with it, this stuff has great long term residual action though. Application could be an issue depending on the height of the roof though.

Shade and moisture are probably the reasons for the moss. I've always wondered if after cleaning a waterproof coating would help reduce the amount of moisture staying on the roof and reduce the amount of moss, either a product with silicon in it or an acrylic sealer? Another thought I've had is putting a copper strip half visible under the ridge tiles, copper being the enemy of moss and even tiny amounts of it stop moss growing?
