Can anyone help me ID the breeds? Is the top shorthorn?

In Ireland pure bred cattle are a minority. Even more so in the past. In the top pic, the animal with the head up would be called a "whitehead" or Hereford. It is most likely a cross breed with the sire or daddy being Hereford but the Dam or mother being a cross bred too.

Lower pic look like Angus but probably cross bred too
