Adverts on Sky Go App

While watching live TV on the Sky Go app on his iPad, my dad gets extra ad breaks during a show. So he'll see the same normal ad breaks as anyone else watching the same programme, but will also get extra ads interrupting the show itself. It's very frustrating as the programme doesn't resume at the point where it was interrupted, so he's actually missing portions of the shows he's trying to watch!

Any particular reason for this? More importantly, is there any way round this?

No solutions then. Can anyone else at least confirm that they see this behaviour also? Would be much appreciated!

I’ve had pre roll adverts (which I agree are annoying) but never mid programme interruptions. iOS platform. To be fair it’s normally just one and not the three or four that you were subjected to last time I tried using the RTE player for live tv, which was a while back (I just use the Sky Go app instead, it’s got the same channels and works better).

Thanks. Seems to be happening to him at any time... He missed the end of a detective show this evening because of an interruption for ads. Must be very irritating.

I have never seen ads during a live stream of a channel on Sky Go. I only see that on box sets and catch up.
