Why is the RTÉ News channel showing swimming all day?

    Tried to watch the news first thing this morning, on Channel 200, but it was non-stop swimming from Rome. Tried again, and they're still swimming.🤔

    Ryle Nugent hasn’t worked for RTE for four years.

    RTE use the RTE News Channel for sport from time to time, usually where there’s a clash. In this case it’s clashing with the European Athletics Championships on RTE2.
